A quality public education is the foundation for success for every American child, and our teachers must have the resources and support needed to provide the best education possible. I believe that teachers and administrators are best able to make decisions that impact local schools, and so I'm meeting with educators throughout the district to hear about the challenges facing our public schools as well as the opportunities for improvement.
We must also focus on supporting and recognizing non-traditional forms of education, such as community colleges and technical training schools. In a changing economy, millions of workers need continuing education and retraining.
