Dan Seals' False BP Attack

ATTACK: Dan Seals has claimed that Bob has “taken a pledge to protect BP’s high prices and tax breaks” because he signed the Americans for Tax Reform pledge. 

FACT: Robert signed the Americans for Tax Reform pledge that states he will:

• Oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rates for individuals and/or businesses; and
• Oppose any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by further reducing tax rates.

Dan Seals inexplicably criticizes Robert for pledging not to increase taxes on Americans during this economic recession.

Robert believes strongly that BP must pay for all clean-up associated with the spill in the Gulf Coast to ensure that no taxpayers dollars are used for the clean-up.
