Dan Seals' False Medicare Attack

ATTACK: Dan Seals claims that Bob wants to cut Medicare benefits.

FACT: Bob wants to ensure we continue benefits for Medicare recipients and strengthen Medicare so it will remain solvent for this generation and the next.  He is concerned about recent cuts to Medicare:

• The recently passed health care legislation cut $500 billion in Medicare benefits and transferred that money to pay for new federal healthcare bureaucracies.
• According to Medicare’s Chief Actuary, the health care legislation will result in more than seven million Americans losing their current Medicare Advantage plans, and other provisions will result in less generous benefit packages.

Bob is committed to serious bipartisan leadership on Medicare and will study any serious proposal – regardless of which party introduces it – that offers proposals to strengthen Medicare and ensure benefits today and for future generations.
