ATTACK: Dan Seals has launched a full-out attack on Bob’s pro-choice stance. For the past four months, Seals and his surrogates have claimed that Bob is pro-life and endorsed by the pro-life groups Illinois Right to Life and Eagle Forum. Despite knowing these statements are blatantly false, he and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in Washington have launched an attack through tv ads and direct mail that claims that Bob’s “supporters” want to take away a woman’s right to choose.
FACT: Bob has stated publicly in both the primary and general election that he is pro-choice. He respects and supports a woman’s right to make this difficult decision with her doctor. He is in favor of parental notification laws. He is against late-term and partial-birth abortion. He is against using taxpayers’ money to pay for abortion.
