Robert Walks The 3 Mile Walk With Israel in Celebration of Israel Solidarity Day

On Sunday morning, Bob headed out to Buffalo Grove to join the Jewish United Fund’s 2010 Israel Solidarity Day celebrations.  Israel Solidarity Day is a community-wide celebration of Israel’s Independence Day, which brings together those who support Israel and the Jewish community.  The day’s events also raise significant funds for Israeli school children.

Drawing a vibrant crowd of 1500 Israel supporters, the Buffalo Grove festivities included family-friendly activities, the King David Drummers, and the annual 3 mile Walk with Israel.  Everyone was provided official Solidarity Day t-shirts, with many participants expressing their support by waving American and Israeli flags together.  Bob arrived early, happily joined in the celebrations led by the King David Drummers, and then joined with everyone for the 3 mile Walk. Throughout the morning, Bob had the opportunity to shake hands and chat with hundreds of those who came to express that they care deeply about supporting Israel.

In addition to Buffalo Grove, the Walk With Israel took place in Highland Park, and five other locations in the Chicagoland area.  A great time was had by all, and Bob looks forward to participating in many Israel Solidarity Days in the future.
