This past Saturday, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was the keynote speaker at an event for our campaign held in Wilmette. Rep. McCarthy was a founder of the NRCC’s Young Guns program which recruits and supports top candidates in open and challenger seats across the country.
Rep. McCarthy spoke about the need to rein in government spending and create a more accountable and responsible government. He told the group that our race would be one of the most closely watched races in the country. Rep. McCarthy energized the crowd expressing his confidence in our campaign and chances for victory in November. Rep. McCarthy truly demonstrated why he is a leader in the House of Representatives and was named one of the “most persuasive and compelling members of Congress”.
