Korean-American 10th District Coalition

The Korean-American community is a large part of Chicago’s northern suburbs, with significant contributions to our economy and culture.  I am committed to continuing and furthering Mark Kirk’s strong representation of the Korean-American community.

South Korea as an important ally and co-partner in the Asian region, and our alliance with South Korea should be strengthened.  As Congressman I will support passage of the Korea-United States Free Trade Agreement, which will expand trade with South Korea, increase exports, create jobs in America and increase the prosperity of both countries.

I am deeply opposed to North Korea's nuclear ambition.  The United States must work to prevent a nuclear armed North Korea and work for improved human rights in North Korea.

I also recognize that divided families are an issue that impacts many Koreans living in the United States and the 10th District.  Today, 60 years after the start of the Korean War, many Korean-Americans in our community remain separated from their siblings, cousins and friends in North Korea.   I am committed to continuing the efforts of Congressman Kirk and other advocates to reunite Korean families.

The counsel, support and partnership of the Korean-American community is essential for my campaign.  Please click HERE to join our Korean-American coalition.
