Robert Dold and over 50 volunteers joined Congressman Mark Kirk and the Republicans of Wheeling Township to celebrate our Nation's military heroes on Memorial Day in Arlington Heights. "Memorial Day is a special day for our country. It is a day where we stop and pay our respects to those who sacrificed so much to give us the freedoms we enjoy in this country," Dold said. "Arlington Heights puts on a wonderful parade to honor our Veterans, and I am glad that my family and I were able to help give thanks."
After the parade, Dold visited the Merle Guild American Legion Post 208 in Arlington Heights to share his gratitude with local Veterans. "Post Commander Tom Foglested runs one of the most active American Legion posts in Illinois, and it is an honor to share Memorial Day with these fine Americans."
