Robert Dold Raises More Than All Primary Opponents Combined

Shows Dold's Growing Grassroots Support and Increasing Momentum

Press Release, 10/16/2009

Northfield, IL – Small business owner Robert Dold has received $248,331,1  in contributions from supporters through September 30th, the end of the third quarter Federal Elections Commission reporting period. This number is greater than what was raised combined by the five other Republican primary opponents.

“I am humbled by the generosity of our supporters in the 10th District and around the country,” said Dold. “The race for the 10th Congressional District is going to be one of the most competitive races in the country and it’s becoming increasingly clear that our team is the campaign in the Republican Primary that will be strong enough to win next November.”

Meanwhile, Dold’s momentum is further evidenced by the Elk Grove Township Republicans endorsement of Dold’s candidacy where he received over 60% of the vote at their endorsement session.

“While raising money in campaigns is essential my focus is on meeting voters and listening to their thoughts and concerns,” said Dold.  “I am running a true grassroots campaign walking door to door, having meet ups at voters homes and reaching out through many community events.”

“This campaign is about working for the people to bring small business, common sense to Washington,” said Dold.
