The National Republican Congressional Committee announced this week that Republican Bob Dold is one of 32 candidates from around the country that are now included on their list of “On the Radar” candidates in its Young Guns Program. The nationwide program, established during the 2007-2008 election year, recognizes a select number of candidates who are building campaigns geared toward success, and highlights the goals they are continuously meeting along the campaign trail.
Dold’s placement into the “On the Radar” category means he has successfully taken the first three steps toward reaching Young Guns Status including meeting goals for volunteer recruitment, fundraising and number of doors knocked on.
Dold, who has recently gained momentum over his republican contenders by raising more campaign funds than the five other republican primary opponents combined, is looking to expand his campaign by reaching voters in the 10th district on a personal level while stressing his beliefs in personal responsibility and a promising future for our children.
“I built this campaign upon the core values of integrity, strong family values and keeping government at the local level, and I hope to reach out to as many people as possible who support these views,” Dold said.
Dold, who has worked on numerous Presidential campaigns since 1992, plans to quickly progress through the ongoing stages of the program by running a winning grassroots campaign and meeting face-to-face with voters in an effort to highlight his core beliefs.
“We’re confident we can connect with enough voters to win the primary, and go on to win in the general election next November,” Dold said.
