Northfield, IL – Since beginning his campaign, Republican Robert Dold received over a quarter of a million dollars in contributions for his 10th District Congressional bid, exceeding numerous internal benchmarks and demonstrating the strength of his message. The small business owner announced his candidacy on September 14th and held his first fundraiser on September 22nd.
“I am humbled by the outpouring of support our campaign has received,” said Dold, former Investigative Counsel for the Government Reform and Oversight Committee. "Our campaign to bring small business common sense to Washington is receiving widespread support. The hard-working people of the 10th District agree that Washington needs to stop its wasteful spending and focus on putting people back to work.”
Dold’s strong fundraising is further evidence of his campaign’s growing momentum. This past weekend he won the endorsement of the Elk Grove Township Republicans and received over 60% of the vote at the endorsement session, the first of the primary.
“We are just getting started. Our campaign is gaining more support every day, and we will have the resources necessary to win this race and give the 10th District the thoughtful independent leadership it deserves in Congress,” Dold concluded.
