The Vernon Township Republican Organization Monday endorsed Robert Dold for the 10th Congressional District. Dold won an overwhelming 85 percent of the vote. Vernon Township includes Vernon Hills, Long Grove, Buffalo Grove, Deerfield, Riverwoods, Lincolnshire and Lake Forest.
The New Trier and Elk Grove Township Republican Organizations also recently endorsed Dold. On Saturday, in Palatine Township, Dold received the most votes at their endorsement session. The Palatine Republican organization did not endorse due to a 60 percent vote requirement.
Dold is the only Republican Congressional candidate to have won any township endorsements and has shown that he is leading in the support of the grassroots organizations and leaders throughout the 10th District.
“I’m honored to have the endorsement of Vernon Township,” Dold said. “Voters all across the 10th District are responding positively to my goals of bringing change to Washington by cutting taxes for families and small businesses and ending the government’s irresponsible borrowing and spending.”
