The Libertyville Republican Township Organization held their endorsement meeting Saturday, and was the last township to vote. Although none of the candidates received enough votes to win the endorsement, Robert Dold was one of the top two candidates. Dold is the only candidate to have won any township endorsements, and is the only one who was able to garner strong grassroots support from across the district.
Dold took the endorsements of the New Trier Republican Township Organization, Elk Grove Township Republican Organization, and the Vernon Township Republican Organization last week, bringing his total to three township endorsements.
“I’m thrilled that the township organizations who endorsed me have trust that I am the right candidate to bring change to Washington by cutting taxes, slashing spending and creating jobs for the people of the 10th District,” Dold said. He continued, “These endorsements have added to the strong momentum this campaign is expecting as election day draws closer.”
