Dold Endorsed by Local Manufacturers at Speaking Forum

Press Release, 12/17/09

Republican Robert Dold, Congressional candidate in Illinois’ 10th District, received the endorsements of local manufacturers CGR Technologies and Three J’s Industries, Inc. Thursday at a speaking forum held at Keats Manufacturing in Wheeling.

More than 50 local business owners and manufacturers showed up to support Dold, the only candidate in the 10th District race with a background in small business.

“The American manufacturing industry, a critical foundation of our economy and national identity, has been ignored by the Obama Administration,” Dold said. He continued, “The industry faces many great challenges in an increasingly globally competitive world, and our government must step up to the plate and create an economic environment where American manufacturing companies and their employees can succeed.”

As Congressman of the 10th District, Dold will carry the best interests of small businesses and manufacturers with him to Washington. Dold will fight against cap and trade regulation that makes American manufacturing less competitive, and the health care plan that would hurt small businesses. Dold supports fair and comprehensive trade agreements that grow American exports and tax cuts for small businesses.
