The 10th District is proud to be the home to one of the largest and most-passionate pro-Israel communities in America. Each year, thousands from this District visit Israel to see friends, family, to study, and to travel throughout its wonderful land.
These are particularly critical times in the American-Israeli partnership, and it is essential that we have leaders in our pro-Israel community who are willing to stand up and speak out for what is right.
I visited Israel for a week-long trip in May, because I felt it was important to see first-hand, the critical security challenges that Israel and America currently face together in the Middle East. We are united in our desire for peace, shared humanitarian and democratic values, and commitment to the enduring safety and security of the State of Israel.
We have been fortunate to have Mark Kirk’s effective pro-Israel leadership representing us in Congress for the last ten years. I am dedicated to continuing Congressman Kirk’s hard work on behalf of the pro-Israel community, both locally and nationally, and can assure you I will have the courage to advocate publicly and effectively for a strong U.S.-Israeli relationship.
