We often worry about what kind of country and world we are leaving for the next generation, and yet we rarely harness the energy and enthusiasm of the next generation as we work to create a better world. In addition, the economic downturn has hit young workers particularly hard. The jobless rate of people between the ages of 18 and 25 is far greater than the overall jobless rate. We need an economy that provides opportunity for our younger workers and creates a better path for our next generation of leaders.
I'm reaching out to the students and young people of the 10th District to invite them to join our campaign and take ownership of America’s future. I welcome the ideas and energy of students to communicate their perspectives and suggestions for improvement in our communities.
