Dear Mr. Dold

Please pass on my thanks to everyone who contributed to the awesome care package.  I can tell you that everything was greatly appreciated!!  It really means a lot to see the American people standing behind us.  Your support and appreciation make it a little easier to be away from our friends and family.  I hope you and your family had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  Ringing in the new year in northern Afghanistan just isn’t the same as in the States… however, we made due.

I wish you and your team all the best during your run for Congress.  Based on your stance and priorities noted in the enclosed pamphlet and on your website, I think you would serve not just the 10th District well, but the entire state.  And while the 10th District is up north, please don’t forget about everyone down south!
