I'm honored to serve you in Washington and look forward to continuing my independent leadership in Congress. For me to make this possible, over the next two months I need to gather voter signatures to ensure my name is on the ballot in 2012. I need your help.

On Saturday, September 24th we'll kick things off with a volunteer rally. Meet me along with the rest of Team Dold at the Lake County Republican Federation office (320 Peterson Road, Libertyville) at 2:30pm. I'll share with you about my time in Washington and explain how petition circulation works. Then we'll set out to collect nomination signatures based on the 10th District lines recently passed by the Illinois legislature.

Although there is a lawsuit challenging the Democrat-drawn boundaries of the map, a federal judge recently ruled that candidates for Congress should collect nominating signatures based on the new district lines. Should the proposed configuration of the map change, the signatures you help me collect now will still be valid even if they fall outside the revised 10th District borders.
